Prospective Audience
The PGCGP has almost two hundred members from the Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware metro region, including members from many of the region’s largest not-for-profit organizations and universities. Our programs also attract those new to planned giving, generalists whose duties include planned giving, major gift officers and allied professionals such as philanthropic advisors, estate attorneys, certified public accountants, and financial advisors.
Sponsorship Avenues
In 2024, we continue to update our sponsorship opportunities to better reflect our organizational needs. We plan to host our premier educational program – the Planned Giving Day Conference – in-person at the Inn at Villanova on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Educational Programs: PGCGP educational programs are usually scheduled between 11:00am to 2:00pm and include an expert speaker on topics related to planned giving and philanthropy. PGCGP educational programs will take place in March, June, and September at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia.
Networking Event: During the summer, join the Planned Giving Council's past and current members in a first ever networking event (limited to 50 attendees). The attendees will go through an interactive learning session on values, focus areas, and the latest research on how to further your client or donor’s philanthropic work. In this workshop and mini-networking session, uses research from Stanford University’s Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society to explore a foundational process fundraiser's can discuss with their clients/donors to help them be most effective in pursuing philanthropic goals.
Planned Giving Day Conference: We will host our annual premier educational annual conference , the 2024 Planned Giving Day Conference, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Inn at Villanova. This all-day conference will feature two keynote speakers and four educational tracks for all levels of experience. Attendees typically number 150+ and include members and non-members from the Philadelphia metropolitan area as well as individuals from neighboring states. In 2023, the in-person conference attracted attendees and vendors regionally and nationally. Our Theme this year, “Legacy Giving – A Harvest of Gratitude,” embodies the enduring power of legacy giving for today and tomorrow.
Planned Giving Course: The Planned Giving Course provides a foundation for fundraising professionals just entering the field of Planned Giving as well as technical knowledge for financial advisors and attorneys regarding how to incorporate charitable giving in an overarching financial and estate plan for their clients. For 2024, the Planned Giving Course will be offered through a hybrid model incorporating formal learning (webinars and workshops), access to mentors, and peer-to-peer interactions. The virtual portion will be held on Date TBD and the in-person portion will be held on Date TBD at the American College of Financial Services offices in King of Prussia, PA. All sponsors will be recognized in the Planned Giving Course materials and during introductions.
Newsletter and Communicating with our Members: We communicate with our members and colleagues in many ways including the PGCGP Newsletter as well as via Eblast and LinkedIn postings. Regular Eblasts are sent to our membership database, as well as hundreds of others who requested to be included in our distribution list. LinkedIn postings are seen by those who are linked with PGCGP and who follow us on the platform.
Website: Our website is visited by hundreds weekly. Members access the site for information about and registration for upcoming programs, to download handouts from previous programs, and sponsor-driven Whitepapers. Members also frequently access the job opportunities and newsletter page.

Other Sponsorship Benefits
Scholarship Sponsors: Consider sponsoring a PGCGP scholarship for $500 to cover the cost of a member’s national (NACGP) membership, local PGCGP membership, PG Day, and other membership benefits. Award eligibility is prioritized for furloughed or unemployed colleagues, and then those whose nonprofit budgets do not cover professional development opportunities.
